Welcome to the website of Gordon Setter kennel from the
Glossy Friends.
I
would like to introduce myself. My
name is Ingrid Beintema and I live in a place called Oudega. I got
my first Setter in 1973, an Irish Setter bitch named Tilly. Tilly
was quite a special dog and because of her I became a
life-long Setter-fan. We shared 10 ˝ wonderful years together.
In
1984, I got my first Gordon Setter "Topstone Instant Return (Nouschka)". She
was a daughter of Jason vom Forsthaus Hattlich and d' Princesse. She
passed away on 27 December 1996.
In
1997, I got my second Gordon Setter "Quiet Killean from Kings Castle
(Killean)". He's
a son of Champion Zwinny Bandyta Dutch Jagger and
Champion Easy Nice Melody from Kings Castle.
Killean is a treasure of a dog. He's been very obedient since
puppy hood and
luckely he doesn't go into the water near my house. However
he does like to swim in the ocean where we go for walks quite often.
Killean has past away in the fall of 2010, but he continues to live
on in his offspring.
In
2002, Blackgleam Charming Colina joined us. She
was imported from Switzerland and is a daughter of Black Mystery
Champ and
Blackgleam Amira. In
2004, she became the Best Bitch of the Dutch Gordon Setter Club (N.
G. S. C). On May
28th 2005 she became a Dutch Champion.
On
July 3rd 2005, Killean and Colina became parents of 4 bitches and 2
dogs. And as
a result of this litter my Setter-family has grown with another
bitch called "Ailis
from the Glossy Friends (Ailis)" On September 17th 2006 Ailis became the titel Dutch Youth Champion
and on
August 10th 2007 she became Dutch Show Champion.
